In order to link the offshore wind farms AO6 Méditerranée and AO7 Oléron, the operator of the French transmission system Réseau de Transport d'Electricité (RTE) has released a contract notice seeking contractors to conduct an unexploded ordnance (UXO) study. The objective of this contract notice is to formalise a contract for the provision of UXO survey services required for the connection of the offshore wind farms AO6 Méditerranée and AO7 Oléron.
Three lots comprise the contract. The first two lots correspond to the two locations that will be granted in the French Mediterranean's floating offshore wind tender, while the third lot refers to a location off the island of Oléron (AO7). The AO7 tender winner is likely to be revealed in the start of 2024, and the wind farm is anticipated to be operational in 2032.
